In German this week, students have been getting ready for Easter by painting some festive eggs!

Painting hard boiled eggs (or wooden, in this case!) is a German tradition, with the colourful eggs being used to decorate Easter egg trees, named Ostereierbaum. Eggs are an ancient symbol of life used all over the world, and the tradition of decorating trees and bushes with eggs for Easter dates back many centuries.
