As part of a broadening out to consider the vital importance of languages and the fostering of cross-curricular skills, our Linguistica Club had an interesting session introducing Semitic Languages.
With Ms Parker and working as a group, the students learned about Hebrew and Arabic languages, practising speaking words (such as greetings) and reading the alphabet.
Watch out for more sessions coming up: on Mandarin to tie in with the Lunar New Year, and on Greek in the new testament: symbolism and translation...
