Career Conversation: Mireia Llusia-Lindh

We were delighted to welcome Mireia Llusia-Lindh to WHS recently to take part in our 'Career Conversation' series with students. 

Mireia was born in Barcelona and settled in London after attending university in Barcelona and Switzerland, and receiving an MBA from Harvard Business School. She further developed her business skills and passion for fashion working  for Bain & Co as a strategy advisor to numerous consumer and luxury goods firms such as Burberry and LVMH. She launched handbag brand DeMellier in 2017. DeMellier is now a significant worldwide business and one of the fastest growing handbag companies in Europe. She is also a mother of 3 and passionate about children, education and championing women.

In the talk, Mireia discussed her entrepreneurial journey, explaining what she has learnt and the keys to success - hard work, resilience, seeking investment and the importance of a 50:50 partnership at home. Students were very engaged and bursting with lots of interesting questions, such as how to manage risks, what the future holds for DeMellier and what made her interested in fashion in the first place.
