A wonderful evening was had by all at the annual Wimbledon High School Boat Club (WHSBC) Dinner on Saturday 29th June.

It was a chance to celebrate all the rowers and their coaches had achieved this year cheered on by their parents.

The evening began with drinks outside Cafe Sixth, thankfully in glorious sunshine, followed by the traditional boat naming ceremony. Parents and rowers then headed to the Auditorium for dinner and entertainment in the form of a disco, photo booth and casino - and of course awards for the rowers and thanks to coaches and committee. Even a slight change of menu for the evening didn't dampen any spirits!

Alex Watson, Head of Rowing shared her thoughts on the evening:

"This year's annual rowing dinner gala was spectacular! It was wonderful to see our boat club community come together and celebrate in such a stylish manner. Watching our rowers all dressed up, with their parents and families cheering them and the boat club on, was truly heartwarming. The atmosphere was so positive, and even a few dinner hiccups couldn't dampen the spirit. In fact, the announcement of pizza brought out big smiles from both rowers and parents alike! Hosting the event at our school added an extra special touch, and I extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who made it possible. Celebrating as a community it so important and I am already looking forward to next years!"

Huge thanks to the WHSBC Parent Committee for all their hard work in making the dinner such a special evening.
